If:
- There is a yaa in the lam kalimah
- The word is on the scale of افاعل or مفاعل or فاعل or something like it
Then
(i) For Rafa’ and Jarr state if it has ال or is مضاف
- Give yaa a sakin
(ii) For Rafa’ and Jarr state if it does not have ال or is not مضاف
- Drop the yaa
- Give tanween to the ayn kalimah
(iii) For Nasb state
- Always give yaa a fatha

| (iii) | Nasb state without ال | رأيتُ قَاضِياً |
| (iii) | Nasb state and مضاف | رأيتُ قَاضِيَكُمْ |
