الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلوة والسلام على سيدنا محمد خاتم النبيين و على آله الطاهرين و صحابته أجمعين
All praise is due to Allāh, the Lord of all the worlds, and blessings and peace be upon our master Muḥammad ﷺ, the Seal of the Prophets, and upon his pure family and all his companions.
قال العبد الفقير إلى مولاه الغني أبو الإخلاص حسن الوفائي الشرنبلالي الحنفي:
The poor servant, in need of his Lord al-Ghanī (the Self-Sufficient), Abū al-Ikhlāṣ Ḥasan al-Wafāʾī al-Shurunbulālī al-Ḥanafī, said:
انه التمس مني بعض الأخلاء عاملنا الله و إياهم بلطفه الخفي
Indeed, this book has been requested from me by some of my friends. May Allāh accept our deeds and deal with us with His gentle and subtle kindness.
ان اعمل مقدمة في العبادات تقرب على المبتدئ ما تشتت من المسائل في المطولات فاستعنت بالله تعالى وأجبته طالباً للثوب
That I write an introduction on the acts of worship which brings closer to the beginner those issues scattered across lengthy, detailed works. So I sought the help of Allāh, the Exalted, and I responded to the request, seeking reward.
و لا أذكر إلا ما خزم بصحته أهل الترجيح من غير إطناب و سميته (نور الإيضاح و نخاة الأرواح)
I will only mention what has been verified for its authenticity by the experts of distinction (ahl al-tarjīḥ), without excessive elaboration, and I have named it Nūr al-Īḍāḥ wa Najāt al-Arwāḥ (The Light of Clarification and the Salvation of the Souls).
والله أسأل أن ينفع به من عباده و يديم به الإفدة
I ask Allāh to benefit His servants through it and to grant them everlasting benefit through it.
